OMAR VIKTOR DIOP est un jeune photographe sénégalais dont j'apprécie énormément le travail. Je l'ai découvert à travers cette photographie que vous pouvez voir ci-dessus appelée "Frida", en hommage à l'une des œuvres de la célèbre artiste-peintre mexicaine Frida Kahlo (que j'adore aussi). Ce qui m'a époustouflé dans cette photo c'est le jeu de contraste des couleurs, cette symétrie dans la mise en scène et la force que l'image véhicule.
OMAR VIKTOR DIOP is a young Senegalese photographer whose work i appreciate a lot. I discovered him through this picture you can see above called "Frida", in homage to one of the work of the famous Mexican artist-painter Frida Kahlo (Love her too).
What amazed me in this picture, it's the set of contrast, this symmetry in the direction and the strength which the image conveys.
Ce que j'aime dans son travail c'est à la fois ce côté rétro mais emprunt d'une grande modernité ... et sincérité. Pas de faux semblants, rien n'est calculé, cela respire tout simplement la passion. Omar Viktor Diop est un touche à tout, il évolue autant dans la photographie de mode, que d'art ou publicitaire.
Les amoureux de Kehinde Wiley ou encore Malick Sidibé voire Seydou Keita, seront à coup sur en amour de son travail. Omar Viktor Diop fait partie de cette jeune génération d'artistes africains à suivre de très près, à l'instar de l'ivoirien Paul Sika, sur lesquels il faudra compter dans les années qui viennent.

What I like in his work it is at the same time this retro side but loan of a big modernity and his sincerity. No forgery appearances, nothing is calculated, it inhales simply passion. Omar Viktor Diop is one touch in everything, he evolves as much in the fashion photography, as in art or advertising commercials.
The lovers of Kehinde Wiley or Malick Sidibé even Seydou Keita, will be for blow on in love of his work. Omar Viktor Diop is a member of this young generation of African artists to follow very closely, following the example Paul Sika from Ivory Coast, on whom it will be necessary to matter in the years to come.
